A 23-year-old man from Sheerness has been charged
A suspect has been charged with murder following the death of a man in a stabbing in Minster. Officers from Kent Police were called to Noreen Avenue on the Isle of Sheppey at 6.38pm on Saturday, January 17.
There it had been reported that a victim had been assaulted and sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds. A large police presence descended on the street and established a cordon in the area.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended and the victim, a man aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A suspect was arrested shortly after.
A police spokesperson has now said: “William Hepworth, 23, from Alma Road, Sheerness has been charged with murder. He will appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 19 January.”
