The man was pronounced dead at the scene
A body has been found during the search for a missing man who vanished more than two weeks ago near Canterbury.
Police attended Covert Wood in Barham on the afternoon of Sunday, January 18, where a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Formal identification has yet to take place. However, the family of Cameron Williams, a missing 27-year-old man from the area, have been informed.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “The death is not currently being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
Cameron was last seen in the Derringstone Downs area of Barham, near Canterbury, at about 1.15pm on January 2. Following his disappearance, Kent Police released a number of appeals in an effort to help find him.
Search parties were also organised by members of the local community. A week after he went missing, Kent Search and Rescue said its volunteers had put in more than 220 hours of work, covering 80 miles during the search.
