The business, Jana Reinhardt, is run by a husband-and-wife team of master goldsmiths from Worthing, who reached the fundraising milestone after five years of donating a portion of their sales to animal welfare and environmental charities.

Jana Reinhardt, managing director and one half of the business, said: “We’ve just completed our 5th year of fundraising for animals through the sale of our jewellery, and are thrilled to have just passed the £20,000 mark.

“What began five years ago with a single charity has now grown into ongoing support for 13 incredible organisations, all receiving quarterly donations.

“Our journey started with an Orangutan Necklace for Ovaid, donating £20 from every sale to orangutan rescue and rehabilitation.

“That first step shaped our mission, and the support of our amazing customers continues to make it possible.

“£20,000 might not sound like a lot for a business to raise, but our business is just Ross and me, making a few pieces of jewellery every week and living on a fairly modest income.

“If someone had said to us a few years ago that we would donate £20,000 to animal charities, we wouldn’t have believed them. We’d have said, ‘If we ever have £20,000 spare, we’ll fly to Costa Rica or buy a camper van.’

“Turns out, we don’t really need either, and we’re very happy with how the last few years have turned out.”

The company’s charity collection includes 13 hand-carved animal-themed pieces, each supporting a different cause.

These include necklaces and pendants featuring orangutans, badgers, sloths, pangolins and farm animals.

Each piece donates £20 from every sale to its respective charity.

Jana Reinhardt also donates £1 from every order to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).

The business is committed to sustainability, using only recycled precious metals and 100 per cent recyclable, plastic-free packaging.

To offset their carbon footprint, they also plant a tree with Ecologi for every sale.

Both vegans, the couple are passionate about keeping their business as environmentally friendly as possible while raising funds for animal welfare.
