The English rapper and pop artist, real name Stephen Manderson, exuberantly shouted out Glasgow eatery Lovable Rogue in a recent social media video.

“I had a banging, banging roast at the Lovable Rogue on a Sunday,” the Just Be Good to Green hitmaker said. “Proper, proper, wicked roast.”

Reacting to the video, Lovable Rogue West End, which serves an array of Scottish classics, commented: “Big thanks to @professorgreen for showing some more love for our Sunday Roast.

“Good luck on your new venture around the corner. I’m sure we’ll see you again soon!”

The Lovable Rogue, which operates locations in Kelvinbridge, Pollokshields, and Dennistoun, was recently named as one of the best places in the UK to have a Sunday roast.

Last week, Manderson, 42, was spotted in the West End as part of a promotion for his new restaurant PG Fast Food.

On 13 January, the rapper was seen handing out leaflets and posing for photographs with members of the public.

The shop, which is Manderson’s first permanent food business, is set to open on Byres Road.

Visiting Glasgow in December, he told The Daily Record: “It’s no coincidence – some of the masterminds that ran German Doner Kebab (GDK) are my partners in this, and this is their next endeavour, their office is just down the road in East Kilbride.”

Speaking about the location in the heart of Glasgow’s bustling student district, Manderson said; “It’s a wicked location, there’s loads happening here. You’ve got students, you’ve got residents and you’ve got tourists.

“You know it feels like a melting pot of people, and there is great footfall and a great vibe. I think we work well with some of the other shops that are here, so I think we will fit right in, but stand right out.”
