Police and paramedics were called to the scene
Emergency services were called after a child was hit by a motorbike on a busy A-road. The collision took place on the A229 Loose Road in Maidstone shortly before 8am this morning (January 16).
The south-bound carriageway was shut for a time near Maidstone Fire Station. A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 7.46am on Friday to a collision involving a motorbike and a child pedestrian in Loose Road, Maidstone.
“The child is reported to have suffered minor injuries.” The child’s parents are aware.
Paramedics were alerted to the incident but were stepped down before they arrived. Loose Road was re-opened and traffic conditions returned to normal in the area by 9am.
