A National Lottery prize worth £1,000,000 has yet to be claimed from a EuroMillions ticket bought in the Mid Sussex District.
The National Lottery is urging players to “check and double-check” their tickets to claim this “life-changing” prize.
The EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker guarantees to create a millionaire in every draw, but the EuroMillions draw on January 2, 2026 was a “particularly exciting” one as there were 10 lucky Millionaire Maker winners made – one of whom is yet to claim their prize.
For every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket.
The winning code on January 2, 2026 for this prize was MLMF46017 and the ticket-holder has until July 1, 2026 to claim their prize.
Anyone not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who believes they have a genuine claim can still make a claim in writing to Allwyn, but it must be within 30 days of the draw.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery said: “Someone out there has had an incredible start to 2026 and doesn’t even know it – being the winner of a life-changing £1,000,000.
“We are on a mission to unite our lucky winner with their million-pound prize and are calling on people to check their pockets, bags coats – think back to that draw.
“Perhaps you got a EuroMillions ticket on the way to New Year’s celebrations – search through handbags, purses, trouser pockets any purses or jackets that only come out for big celebrations?
“Someone who bought a ticket in the Mid Sussex District is now a millionaire and we are desperate to unite this lucky ticketholder with their winnings.
“If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.”
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.
Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email help@national-lottery.co.uk
