South east London, which includes Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich, Lewisham, and Southwark, saw an overall fall in reported crime in December 2025.
A total of 10,961 offences were logged in December, down three per cent from 12,096 recorded in November.
Southwark recorded the highest number of offences in December, with 3,195 crimes reported.
Theft was the most common offence in the borough, with 1,343 incidents, followed by violence against the person with 713 reports.
Burglaries saw 214 offences recorded.
There were also 174 robberies, 169 vehicle offences, 158 public order offences, and 157 arson and criminal damage offences.
Lewisham had the second-highest crime total, with 2,343 offences in December, representing a 5.5 per cent decrease from the previous month.
Like with Southwark, violence against the person and theft were the most frequently recorded crimes, with 776 and 532 reports respectively.
Vehicle offences were the next most common at 195, followed by 172 cases of arson and criminal damage.
Greenwich ranked third, with 2,178 offences reported during the month, down 2.4 per cent compared to November.
The borough recorded 789 incidents of violence against the person and 493 theft offences, alongside 202 vehicle crimes.
Public order offences, drug offences, and arson and criminal damage were also recorded in significant numbers, with 135, 134, and 133 cases respectively.
Bromley was next in the rankings, with 1,937 offences reported in December.
Despite being the largest borough in London, Bromley experienced relatively low numbers of reported offences.
This included 597 cases of violence against the person, 425 thefts and 228 vehicle offences.
Police also recorded 148 arson and criminal damage offences, 124 burglaries, and 118 public order offences.
Bexley was the borough to receive the lowest number of reported offences in south east London.
1,308 offences were reported to the police in the most south eastern borough.
Police dealt with 472 reports of violence against the person, 194 thefts, 149 vehicle offences, and 114 drug offences.
