Posting the news on social media, they said: “Three of Cups – For Sale
“The time has come for Chris and I to hang up our hat and chef apron and pass the reins onto someone new.
“We have dedicated our whole lives for the past three years to Three of Cups.
“It has been the most incredible journey, and we wouldn’t have changed it for the world, and we want nothing more than to see it continue to grow and thrive alongside our local community.
“This is a rare opportunity for someone looking to jump into the southside coffee/food scene and hit the ground running with an already thriving business – all of our equipment, stock, suppliers etc alongside any and all help and ongoing advice from us is included in the deal to make the transition as smooth as possible.
“It could also be a perfect opportunity for any small businesses looking to expand to a new location.
“If you think this is the right opportunity for you, enquire via email to threeofcupscoffee.gla@gmail.com
“We will remain open as normal in the meantime!!
“All our love, Cath and Chris.”

Fans of the speciality coffee house flocked to the comments to share their well-wishes.
One said: “Hope you guys are okay! This is never an easy choice! Sending lots of love to your new adventures!”
Another added: “I am nothing short of devastated.
“Excited for you both with the next chapter though!!
“Please god the new owners also have perfect music taste – if not, don’t pass over the aux.”
Another was concerned for the future of the vegan-friendly nature of the spot, they said: “I really hope things stay plant-based. There are very few vegan and plant-based restaurants left in Glasgow, and cafes/restaurants are catering less and less to vegan options.”
