Officers are investigating an assault in Folkestone that left a victim with a broken arm. Kent Police was called to Tram Road, Folkestone, shortly after 3.30am on New Year’s Day after it was reported that a man was violently assaulted by another man in an unprovoked attack.

A suspect, reportedly not known to the victim, left the scene before help arrived. Officers attended along with paramedics and a man in his 30s was taken to a local hospital.

Investigators are seeking to identify a man who was in the area at the time who is described as white, with short blonde hair and wearing a red motorbike jacket and dark trousers, as seen in CCTV images.

Anyone who may have relevant information, including mobile phone footage, who has not yet spoken to police, is urged to come forward.
