Abdul Kieta, Orion Parks, Raheem Ruhambira, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons were sentenced on October 17 for the knife attack.
On December 10, 2024, they went to the victim’s home in John Street in Rochester.
The 16-year-old victim had been at home when he decided to leave through the back gate to collect a takeaway on his bike.
As he exited, he saw Kieta attempting to climb the garden fence and tried to flee.
He was chased by the group and stabbed multiple times. One of the attackers dropped a knife at the scene.
The victim managed to reach a nearby off-licence where emergency services were called.
He was taken to a London hospital and discharged three days later.
Following CCTV enquiries officers were able to identify the suspects seen entering the property and then running away.
On December 11, Kieta, 18, was arrested at his home address in Atlee Drive, Dartford. Trainers and a coat matching those seen on CCTV were seized.
Further enquiries led officers to arrest Ruhambira, 19, on December 17 at a property in Cooper Road, Dartford.
Following a search of the property a coat with a slash mark on was seized.
On the same day a 17-year-old was arrested at a property in London. A knife was found inside the address which had the victim’s blood on it.
Parks, 20, was arrested at his home address on Overy Street, Dartford on the same day where officers found a machete in a drawer.
All four were later charged and following a trial were sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on October 17, 2025 to the following:
- Kieta was given an 18 month rehabilitation order after being found guilty of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and wounding without intent.
- Ruhambria was jailed for five years and given an extended licence period of three years after being found guilty of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and wounding with intent.
- The 17 year old was found guilty of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and wounding with intent and given an 18 month youth rehabilitation order.
- Parks was found guilty of wounding without intent and jailed for two years and three months in a Young Offenders’ Institute.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Kati Goldsmith said: “This was a shocking and deliberate attack on a young boy who was simply trying to leave his home.
“Thanks to the dedication of our officers and the strength of the evidence gathered, we were able to identify those responsible and ensure they faced justice.
“Violent behaviour like this has no place in our communities, and we remain committed to protecting the public and holding offenders to account.”
