Around 50 staff who work at four First Bus depots, including two in Glasgow at Scotstoun and Gorbals, were in dispute with their employer over a pay offer.
The employees, whose duties are cleaning and refuelling vehicles, were given an offer of an 8.4% pay rise over two years.

Unite the Union accused First of “penny pinching” and had obtained a mandate for strike action following a ballot of its members at the depots, which took place in November and December last year.
The Glasgow Times previously reported no dates had been set for the strikes as talks were continuing this week.
However, First Bus has now confirmed that there will be no industrial action next week and bus services will operate as normal.

Following further discussions with Unite representatives, a ballot is to be held recommending acceptance of a new pay offer.
Duncan Cameron, managing director of First Bus in Scotland, said: “We are pleased that the union has decided to suspend its planned strike while its members consider our new pay offer.
“We have always committed to working with Unite to agree a pay settlement for this group of staff and avoid unnecessary disruption to customers.”
