The victim was treated for facial injuries
A man has been charged in connection with an assault on a driver in Ashford. Kent Police officers were contacted following the incident in Church Road, Willesborough, at around 2pm on November 15.
A man in possession of a metal pole is alleged to have approached a flatbed truck on foot and assaulted the driver. It is reported the vehicle was also damaged before the suspect, who was known to the victim, left the scene.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was later treated for facial injuries. Officers attended and initial enquiries were completed.
The investigation led to the arrest of a man on Friday (January 2). Later that day, William Gosbee, of Hurst Road, Ashford, was charged with assault, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was also charged in relation to an incident on November 5, where it is reported that threats were made to a woman in Upper Vicarage Road following a driving dispute.
Gosbee, 30, appeared before Folkestone magistrates on Saturday (January 3) and has since been remanded to Canterbury Crown Court, where he is due to appear on Monday, February 2.
