Wicketkeeper-batsman Harry Finch has signed a Kent contract extension.
Finch, who had been out of contract at the end of their 2025 summer, has now committed his future to the county until the conclusion of their 2027 campaign.

The 30-year-old has made 98 club appearances across all formats, scoring 3,585 runs with five centuries, and was named Kent men’s player-of-the-year by members and supporters in 2024.
“I’m really happy to have extended my contract here at Kent,” said Finch. “I’ve loved every minute of my time here so far.
“It feels like we’re starting to build something very exciting and I’m delighted to be a part of that.
“The squad under Smokes [head coach Adam Hollioake] is looking in a really good place for the coming years and everyone is desperate to get the club back to winning ways and competing for trophies.
“Hopefully, I can play an important part in that in all formats going forward and can’t wait to get the 2026 season going now.”

Finch made his Kent debut in the 169th Canterbury Cricket Week in 2021 as part of a makeshift squad due to the majority of Kent’s first-team squad having to self-isolate in Covid.
The right-hander made an instant impact against his old club Sussex in that match as he scored 115 in the second innings to help Kent’s young and inexperienced squad earn an unlikely draw.
Since then, Finch has been a part of the Kent Spitfires side that won the 2022 One-Day Cup before he signed full-time terms ahead of the 2023 season.
He averages 33.19 with the bat in all three forms of the game and, with the gloves, he has 132 dismissals to his name so far as a Kent cricketer.
On Thursday’s news, director of cricket Simon Cook added: “Finchy has commanded a first-team place through hard work, dedication and determination. He has earnt his way to now being a multi-format player for Kent.
“He’s an extremely versatile batter able to bat across the order and, when he doesn’t have the gloves, he’s also an excellent outfielder, too.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him in a Kent shirt for at least another two years as we look to push on in all formats.”
It leaves England Test opener Zak Crawley, alongside fast bowlers Fred Klaassen and Michael Cohen, as Kent players that are out of contract.
Kent are also yet to confirm captain Daniel Bell-Drummond has committed to stay but this appears a formality due to the fact he has been awarded a testimonial year for 2026 by the county.
