If you want to dine out without breaking the bank, these are the spots to check out
The Good Food Guide is launching a new campaign to help you save some pennies this winter, and its list features eight restaurants from Kent. Restaurant Month is the latest initiative from the leading hospitality publication and is running between Tuesday, January 13 and Friday, February 13.
Aiming to spotlight “some of Britain’s most exciting places to eat and help restaurants boost bookings during one of the industry’s quietest trading periods”, the nationwide campaign highlights some of the best dining out deals you can nab. More than 350 restaurants are taking part in the inaugural Restaurant Month, with each venue running a special set menu or offer to encourage diners to go out for a meal in January and February.
This includes esteemed fine-dining spots and wholesome neighbourhood gems. Among the Kent establishments taking part are Number Eight in Sevenoaks, The Mariner in Folkestone and Margate’s High Dive.
Adam Hyman, owner of The Good Food Guide and founder of CODE Hospitality, said: “January is a notoriously tough time for hospitality. I’ve always thought it is one of the best times to treat yourself to a meal out and a glass or two of something delicious.
“The aim of Restaurant Month is to encourage the British public to venture out for a meal at the beginning of year and perhaps try a place that they may not have eaten at or treat themselves to a special meal somewhere that may have been out of their budget. Whether you’re a cash-strapped student, a family not wanting to cook at home one evening or someone who just loves restaurants as much as we do, Restaurant Month is for everyone!”
