A man has died following a serious collision.

On Wednesday, 7 January, at around 7.30am, a collision was reported involving two vehicles on the B2036 London Road, near Cherry Lane.

The driver of a vehicle travelling northbound, a 44-year-old man from Cuckfield, has died following the collision. His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts remain with them.

The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries.

National Highways supported a road closure while enquiries were carried out at the scene. The road has since reopened.

As officers work to establish the full circumstances around the collision, the police are asking that anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage comes forward and makes a report.

You can do this by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk or calling 101 quoting Operation Elmore.
