A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl have been confirmed as the two people who died after a car came off the road
Two teenagers died in a fatal crash near Iwade, police have now confirmed. The incident happened after a car came off the carriageway at the weekend.
Officers were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service to reports of an incident in Old Ferry Road at around 8.30pm on Saturday, January 3.
Police attended alongside paramedics and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, closing the road between the junctions with Raspberry Hill Lane and Sheppey Way, near Iwade, to assist with rescue efforts.
A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl have been confirmed as the two people who died. They were both the occupants of the blue Ford Fiesta.
A third occupant, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to a local hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
