A landmark pub is to close its doors for the “time being” this weekend.
The Priory Hotel in Dover, opposite Dover Priory station, has been open since the late 1800s.

But bosses have announced it will shut for an unspecified time once the last of its stock is sold.
In a statement, they said they were announcing the closure “with a very heavy heart”.
“This weekend will be the last that The Priory will be open for the time being,” they said.
“When the stock is gone, that will be that.
“We’ll try to get in touch with all the lovely artists who are booked for the coming weeks individually, because obviously, all those gigs are cancelled.
“So, so sorry.”
Those running The Priory Hotel declined to comment further when approached by KentOnline this evening.
But “to help get rid” of the stock, they will host a karaoke event on Thursday, a quiz night on Friday, and live music from David Sinclair Four on Saturday.
