There will be changes to both season and single tickets
As a new year has begun, Arriva has confirmed a number of changes to its fares that passengers will soon be paying to travel around Kent in 2026. From Sunday, January 18, ticket prices for journeys in Kent and Medway are set to change.
This includes alterations to both multi-journey season tickets and single tickets. The cost of an adult weekly Kent and Medway ticket is rising from £44 to £46, while a child’s weekly Kent and Medway ticket will rise from £33 to £34.50.
Daily rider tickets for the Kent and Medway area will increase from £11 to £11.50 for adults, and from £8.20 to £8.60 for children. Meanwhile, annual season tickets for the Kent and Medway area will rise from £1,500 to £1,570 per year for adults.
Various changes are also being made to the other ticket zones covered by Arriva, including Maidstone, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. The full list of new prices can be found below.
Additionally, with the £3 price cap remaining in place for single journeys in 2026, changes are being made to the way that these fares are priced around Kent and Medway. The following changes will be implemented:
For adult single tickets
- Journeys up to 0.5 mile – £2.00
- Journeys greater than 0.5 miles – £3.00
For child single tickets
- Journeys up to 0.5 miles – £1.70
- Journeys between 0.5 mile and 2 miles – £2.60
- Journeys greater than 2 miles – £3.00
