Aquatec in Motherwell shut today due to heating issues at the facility.
North Lanarkshire Council confirmed the closure and apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused.
In a statement, the council said: “Aquatec is currently closed due to heating issues.
“We’re working to resolve this as quickly as possible and hope to reopen soon.
“Please keep an eye on our page for updates.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.”
The closure follows the shutdown of the Time Capsule Water Park in Coatbridge earlier today after cold air and water temperatures made it unsafe to remain open.
The closures come as Glasgow and the surrounding areas are currently under a yellow weather warning for snow and ice, in place from midnight until 11am on Tuesday, January 6.
The Met Office has warned freezing temperatures could cause disruption, particularly to travel, with icy patches likely on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths. Delays on road and rail networks are possible, while injuries from slips and falls are also a risk.
Commuters are being advised to plan journeys in advance and allow extra time for travel as winter conditions continue across much of Scotland.
