A Kent man has been arrested after a “serious assault” left a victim with a head injury before Christmas. The incident happened at Market Place in Braintree in the early hours of November 23, after which Essex Police launched a public appeal for information.
On Friday (January 2), a man, 41, from Kent, was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent. He remained in custody on Saturday according to Essex Live.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into a serious assault in Market Place, Braintree in the early hours of Sunday 23 November. We had appealed for information on a man who we’d identified as part our investigation.
“The victim, a man, had sustained a head injury. Yesterday, Friday 2 January, a 41-year-old man from Kent was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent. He remains in custody.”
