Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with a serious facial injury following a reported assault. It happened in Jeffery Street in Gillingham shortly before 5pm on Tuesday (December 23).
The victim, a man in his 20s, had stopped his car to give some advice to boys who had reportedly been throwing things at passing vehicles. A short while later, a man allegedly approached the victim and struck his head before continuing the assault when he fell to the floor, Kent Police said.
The victim later attended hospital for treatment to his injuries. A police spokesperson said: “The suspect is described as a slim white man, around 18 years old, and thought to be 5ft 7in.
“He had light brown hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a grey dressing gown, and grey jogging bottoms with long white socks pulled up over them.
“He was seen travelling on a black e-scooter beforehand.” Officers are urging witnesses to the assault or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
