He allegedly stole jewellery and other personal possessions
A man has been charged following a break-in at a home in Ashford on Boxing Day (Friday, December 26).
Kent Police received a report shortly before 2am that a property in Boxley had been the target of a suspected burglary.
Items alleged to have been taken included jewellery and other personal possessions. Officers were soon at the scene and completed initial enquiries.
This resulted in the arrest of a man in the Stanhope area just after 5am. Then in the early hours of Saturday, December 27, Anthony Allen, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary.
The 47-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court later that day. He was remanded in custody to Canterbury Crown Court, where he is due to appear on Monday, January 26 2026.
