The pedestrian and his dog both sustained injuries
Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses following a collision in Larkfield which left a pensioner with serious injuries.
The incident took place in Leybourne Way at the junction with Gighill Road at around 8.10am on Sunday, December 21.
At this time, the elderly man had been walking his dog when he was involved in a collision with a VW panel van.
Emergency responders, including officers from Kent Police and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), rushed to the scene.
The driver stopped and the pedestrian, aged in his 80s, was taken to hospital with critical injuries. His dog also sustained injuries and is now recovering at home.
A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries led by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing and witnesses are still urged to call the appeal line.
