On October 18, a man was reported to have attempted to steal items from the Co-Op in Oliver Whitby Road, Chichester.
Police said as he left the premises, the man was challenged and subsequently assaulted shop staff, as well as a woman. The woman sustained facial injuries during the incident.
Officers would like to speak with the man seen in CCTV following the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Police have been working to identify the man in the images, as he may be able to assist further enquiries.
“Do you recognise him, or do you have any information to report? Contact police online, or by calling 101 quoting reference 1225 of 18/10.”
