Emergency services spent hours at the scene after a person was hit by a train late last night.
Southeastern says the incident took place on the Canterbury East line between Dover and Faversham at 11.25pm yesterday.
The condition of the person struck is not yet known, with those attending only leaving the scene at 6.49am.
Early morning services have been affected, though Southeastern hoped to reopen the line by 7.15am.
Police, ambulance and Southeastern have been contacted for comment.
