The rider and passenger of the motorbike involved in the collision were confirmed dead at the scene
Two people have died following a three vehicle crash involving a motorbike, a van and a car. A man and a woman in their 30s were announced dead at the scene of the collision on the A228 on Saturday, December 20.
The incident took place at around 6.40pm in the Pembury Northern Bypass, close to the junction for Old Church Road. The man and woman, both in their 30s, were on the rider and passenger on the motorbike.
Police and ambulance crews attended the collision and the pair were confirmed dead at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed.
The crash involved a black Triumph motorcycle and a light-coloured Jaguar car which were both travelling towards Tunbridge Wells, and a silver Ford van heading in the opposite direction. Police are appealing for dashcam footage as part of their investigation.
Kent police are carrying out enquiries which are being led by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit and officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them. A spokesperson for the force said: “Drivers are urged to check dashcam devices for any footage which may show the vehicles involved in the moments leading up to the collision.”
