The elderly man who was on foot is aged in his 80s
An elderly pedestrian was left with critical injuries after being hit by a van in Larkfield. Kent Police is urging any witnesses to come forward, including anyone with dashcam footage.
The collision happened at around 8.15am on Saturday (December 21) in Leybourne Way, at the junction with Gighill Road.
It involved a white VW van, the driver of which stopped after the collision. Officers and ambulance crews attended and the man, in his 80s, was taken to hospital with critical injuries, said a police spokesperson.
Enquiries are being led by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit and road closures were in place yesterday, with drivers advised to avoid the area if possible.
