Dirty Dancing will be shown in full at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on May 27, in a live concert format featuring a band and singers performing every unforgettable song from the original soundtrack.
A digitally remastered version of the film will play on the big screen, while audiences are treated to a live performance that brings the romance and energy of Baby and Johnny’s story to life.
In a post made to social media, Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall said: “You fell in love with their first dance, now it’s your turn to relive it.
“This cinematic live-to-film concert event brings the iconic love story back to the big screen, while a live band and singers perform every unforgettable song from the original soundtrack in sync with the movie.”
Described as more than just a concert, the event promises to be “a love letter to the music, the moves, and the moment that changed everything.”
Fans can expect to sing, sway, and dance along to every song in the company of fellow Dirty Dancing enthusiasts.
The immersive format is designed to recreate the joy and spirit of the film, allowing the crowd to experience the love story and musical numbers as a shared celebration.
