A yellow warning has been announced by the Met Office for heavy and persistent rainfall on Sunday
The Belfast City Council has listed locations where residents can pick up sandbags to protect their properties and has issued advice on how to prepare for flooding — ahead of the approaching yellow warning.
Sandbags are also available to residents in Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area.
The Met alert comes into force across Northern Ireland at midnight (Saturday) and lasts until 6am GMT on Monday morning, when conditions are expected to ease.

Periods of heavy and persistent rainfall are expected which could lead to travel disruption. This could lead to flooding of a small number of properties, especially in flood-prone areas. The prospect of spray and standing water on roads are likely to make driving conditions difficult during this time.
Public transport could be affected and there could also be some interruptions to power supplies and other services.
