The data was published in the Government’s list of current deliberate tax defaulters, updated September 2025.
Hoburn Limited, formerly of 70 Bexhill Road, St Leonards, was included in the list, facing a penalty of £458,221.15.
The penalty was in relation to tax worth £624,615.25, recorded from January 30, 2022, to March 31, 2024.
Each entry on the list is specific to the default dates to which it refers. The address is the one associated with the published person at the time of the default.
The Government says it must be considered that the published person may have changed their behaviour and/or may no longer be at the published addresses.
They also state that the it should be noted that the business currently at the published address may have the same name but be under new management.
Amounts in the Government’s list relate to the tax/duty on which penalties are based and the penalties charged, where the penalty meets the criteria for publishing under the Publishing Details of Deliberate Defaulters legislation.
The list does not necessarily represent the full default of the taxpayer.
Kevin Hubbard, HMRC’s Director of Individuals and Small Business Compliance, said: “We are determined to tackle the minority who deliberately refuse to pay what they owe and will pursue all available avenues to recover unpaid amounts.
“Publishing the names of deliberate defaulters sends a clear message that this behaviour has consequences and encourages compliance across the board.”
