Graham Franks, 77, was in bed in Burgess Hill when his wife told him there was a hot air balloon flying over their house this morning, August 22.
Mr Franks, who is a freelance photographer, shot out of bed to capture the moment.

The man was sat in a seat with a harness, hooked up to the huge balloon.
He said: “It was the wife that spotted it.
“You have just got to take a picture of something like that.”
It turned out to be a hopper balloon – a smaller, one-person balloon, which often has a tank behind the pilot’s head with the burner above.
They are often designed so the pilot can swivel independently of the balloon itself and turn in any direction during flight.
Most hopper balloons have a maximum flight duration of one to one-and-a-half hours.
