The 2025 International Mini Meeting was due to take place at the Laughton Showground, between Lewes and Hailsham, on August 21-25.

The meeting, which has been taking place since 1978, is a celebration of Mini Cooper vehicles, both old and new, and was scheduled to include a variety of Mini-themed events.

However, the event will no longer go ahead.

The organisers announced on August 1 that the event had been postponed, citing low ticket sales.

They said: “The reason is low ticket sales, which means that it is not financially viable to run the event as originally planned.

“This is despite our best efforts to scale down and reduce costs as much as possible.

“We needed to sell 3,500 tickets to cover outgoings. But sadly, we are not even halfway there.”

“We’re now working hard to reschedule to a new date, giving more time for us to build the support we need to make this event everything we want it to be,” organisers said.

However, a further announcement came on August 9 that the event would no longer go ahead, with IMM 2025 Ltd, the company organising the event, going into liquidation.

The statement read: “We regret to inform you that IMM 2025 Ltd has ceased trading.

“The company is in the process of being placed into creditors’ voluntary liquidation as it is insolvent.

“The proposed liquidators will write to all known creditors (including customers) in due course.

“Customers may wish to speak to their bank or credit card company to determine whether they are eligible to make a chargeback claim.”

Organisers went on to say: “While every effort was made to secure a new date for the event, ongoing challenges and significant negativity have made this impossible, leaving us with no viable alternative but to proceed with liquidation.

“This has been an incredibly difficult decision, and one we did not take lightly.

“We understand that this news will be disappointing and apologise for inconvenience or loss this may cause.”

They added that the liquidators can be contacted by email at: imm2025liquidation@btguk.com.

However, The Argus understands that there are currently insufficient funds to enable refunds, and that ticket holders are being advised to contact their bank or credit card company to seek a chargeback claim.

The next International Mini Meeting is schedule to take place in May 2026 at Leszno Airport, in Poland.
