All-rounder Joey Evison has signed a Kent contract extension.
Evison, 23, will now remain until at least the end of their 2027 season after his new Kent deal was announced on Monday morning – seven days after opener Tawanda Muyeye also agreed fresh terms with the county.

“I’m delighted to commit to Kent for the foreseeable future,” he said.
“A lot of positive change is happening behind the scenes and the future for Kent looks really bright. I’m pleased that I will be on this journey for a long time yet.
“I’d like to thank the coaches, staff and supporters for all the faith that they have shown in me in my time here so far.
“I hope that I’ll continue to repay that faith in a Kent shirt.”
The right-hander originally joined Kent from Nottinghamshire midway through the 2022 season, winning the Metro Bank One-Day Cup as he put in a man-of-the-match display in their final win over Lancashire at Trent Bridge.

Evison has made 96 appearances for the county across all formats, scoring 2,862 runs including two centuries, and taking 87 wickets.
The former England under-19s international has taken 26 wickets at 26.61 in 17 matches in 2025.
Kent director of cricket Simon Cook said: “Joey is an extremely talented young player and this is more great news for us.
“We’ve now got two fantastic young players that will form a core part of our squad in the coming few seasons, showing their commitment to Kent and to our long-term plan for success.
“Joey has developed a lot in a short space of time and is now an exciting all-format cricketer for us, able to score vital runs and take big wickets when called upon.
“We’re delighted that he has chosen Kent as the place for him to continue to impress as a true all-round cricketer.”
Kent will take on Norfolk in a One-Day match next Monday before starting their 50-over campaign against Sussex Sharks in Arundel three days later.
Before then, though, Adam Hollioake’s injury-plagued Kent side will play County Championship Division 2 leaders Leicestershire in Canterbury from tomorrow.
Kent will be led by all-rounder Grant Stewart for the first time in his career after captain Daniel Bell-Drummond (knee) and experienced Joe Denly (calf) sustained injuries in last week’s five-wicket away loss to Glamorgan.
Muyeye returns to their 12-man squad, having had an injection in his wrist, but vice-captain Jack Leaning and fast bowler Nathan Gilchrist – who will leave for Warwickshire at the end of the summer – again haven’t been included.
Full squad: Stewart, Agar, Compton, Dawkins, Denly, Evison, Finch, Garrett, Muyeye, Parkinson, Quinn, Singh.
