Walking from Holy Island to Bamburgh Castle, a dedicated team of ten Your Move Chris Stonock colleagues took on the sponsored walk, with colleagues coming together from company branches in Wallsend, Whitley Bay, Crawcrook and Low Fell.
CHUF’s mission is to make life better for children and young people who are born with, or who develop, heart conditions by providing lifelong support to them and their families. CHUF supports children who receive treatment at Freeman Hospital and many other hospitals throughout the North of England.
In 2024, the Your Move Chris Stonock’s team took on the challenge of walking a 15-mile stretch of Hadrian’s Wall in aid of CHUF. This year the team wanted to take on an even bigger challenge to continue their fundraising efforts for the charity.
Your Move Chris Stonock’s managing director, Tim Stonock, who led the challenge commented: “The 20-mile coastal trek was tough, but it was a really enjoyable experience and the views were incredible all the way to Bamburgh, which itself was a picturesque finishing line.
“I’m proud of every single one of the team for completing the challenge. It was a great experience for us all and even better that we raised much needed funds for a great cause.”
The challenge was part of a broader charity and community engagement initiative across the Your Move Chris Stonock branches aimed at continuing to support CHUF.
Helen Stokes, letting manager at Whitley Bay branch, added: “I love doing these challenges. It is great to be walking along our stunning coastline with a great team!
“We all got to the finish line in one piece and raised a great amount of money for a charity doing amazing work and close to our hearts. So proud that we smashed it again!”
