Ben Cullen joins Cushman & Wakefield as head of UK & Ireland

Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Ben Cullen as Head of UK & Ireland, succeeding George Roberts who is leaving the firm.
Cullen joined Cushman & Wakefield as a graduate in 2001 and was made an International Partner in 2016. He led the London Occupier Representation team prior to being made Head of Offices, UK in 2021, and, as a member of the firm’s UK Executive Committee, has helped shape the success of Cushman & Wakefield’s wider UK & Ireland business.
As one of the foremost office advisers in London, Cullen has delivered landmark transactions for some of the largest global clients of the firm. Cullen will continue to focus heavily on clients and driving growth as Head of UK & Ireland and will hand over his divisional and sector leadership responsibilities to Andy Tyler who succeeds him as Head of Offices, UK.
Matthew Bouw, Chief Executive, APAC & EMEA, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “I’m delighted to promote Ben into this role, where his energy, his client-centric approach, and his track record in delivering exceptional value for our clients through advice, solutions and services can have the greatest impact. I look forward to working with him in a key country leadership position in our combined APAC & EMEA business to bring the best of Cushman & Wakefield globally to our clients in the UK and Ireland.”
Ben Cullen, Incoming Head of UK & Ireland, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Stepping into this new leadership role is an honour and a responsibility that I carry with great pride. We have gone from strength-to-strength in the UK & Ireland by staying focused on delivering exceptional advice and execution for our clients. With a world-class team, a culture to be proud of, and an incredible platform, I’m excited by the growth opportunities ahead for us and our clients.”
Roberts joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2010, advising office occupiers on high-profile relocations in the capital and leading the London Markets division following its merger with DTZ. He was appointed Country Head in 2017, guiding the business through the UK’s departure from the EU and the pandemic, evolving it through new services and the acquisition of its Irish affiliate, while promoting an inclusive culture.
Bouw added: “George has had a profound influence on Cushman & Wakefield across 15 years with the firm and is handing over a business in fantastic shape. We are sincerely grateful for his contribution and wish him every success for the future.”
Savills adds to Country House department with Home Counties appointment

Savills has strengthened its Country House department with the appointment of associate director Helen O’Riordan in the Home Counties.
Based out of the firm’s head office in London, O’Riordan will focus on the sale of prime country property across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire – supporting offices in Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, Amersham, Beaconsfield, Rickmansworth, Harpenden, Banbury and Summertown.
A chartered surveyor, and formerly a RICS registered valuer, O’Riordan joined Savills in 2023 as part of its London-based Rural Valuation team. She specialised in the valuation of traditional rural estates, prime country houses and farms – mostly for taxation, secured lending, annual accounting or succession planning purposes.
O’Riordan, who will be working alongside Country House director Hugh Maconochie, said: “The move to the Country House department feels like a natural step and I’m excited to get started.
“As a rural valuer I was fortunate to work on some of the UK’s best country estates and I was always drawn to those with a beautiful residential property.
“I’ll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of a sale and I’m looking forward to meeting our existing clients and building new relationships.
“The Home Counties is an area I know extremely well. I went to sixth form in Marlow and rowed competitively throughout that time – training on The Thames and competing at Henley Royal Regatta several times throughout my rowing career.
“My parents still live locally and many of the villages I’m now covering are places where I spent a lot of time when growing up. It is a real advantage to have that familiarity, not just with the geography, but also with the character of the area and its communities.”
Phillippa Dalby-Welsh, head of Savills Country department, added: “She [O’Riordan] fits our dynamic brilliantly and her skillsets underscore our commitment to strengthening our team and enhancing the offering to our clients.
“Helen’s valuation background gives her a clear understanding of market value and pricing strategy – something that’s critical when advising both clients and buyers – as well as an appreciation of the complexities that are sometimes associated with country homes.
“I’m confident her experience and enthusiasm will see her thrive and ensure we continue to provide the very best service to clients, old and new.”
