Trains were halted due to trespassers on the tracks.
The current was switched off at Herne Bay station, leaving trains unable to run.
Emergency services were called to the scene.
A spokesperson for Southeastern said on X earlier this evening: “Because of trespassers on the railway at Herne Bay trains are currently unable to run through the station
“The current has been switched off.
“Emergency services have been called and are expected on site shortly.”
Southeastern later confirmed services had resumed.
