The Toyota Hilux was reported stolen from Sutton Road in Maidstone on May 9.
Two days later (May 11) the owner told the police that a tracker they had fitted to the car showed it was was moving from Tonbridge to Orpington.
Kent Police officers rushed to intercept the car on the Dartford Crossing, forcefully bringing the car to a halt when it allegedly failed to stop, with the help of Essex Police.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop for a police officer and criminal damage to police vehicles.
He has been conditionally bailed while the investigation into the circumstances is completed.
