The oldest player in the Football League is staying at Gillingham for another season.
Gills boss Gareth Ainsworth said last week that goalkeeper Glenn Morris was part of his future plans, and a new one-year contract has now been signed.

Morris – known at the club as The Cat – will be 42 in December but showed little sign of age getting in the way. His performances during the past season led to him claiming the player-of-the-year award.
He also picked up the players’ player accolade for the 2024/25 season.
The Gills were unable to mount a promotion challenge this season, but the goals against column was impressive, with only promoted Bradford City bettering their defensive record in League 2.
“t is nice to get it done early so you can relax over the summer and enjoy the time away,” Morris told the club.
“Next season will be tough, it always is, but it is about being consistent.”
Manager Gareth Ainsworth added: “I’m really pleased that Glenn has agreed to sign for another year.
“He thoroughly deserved to win player-of-the-year following some magnificent displays in goal and is a very popular member of the squad.
“He is the model professional who gives everything on a day-to-day basis. His experience is invaluable and we are very lucky to have him.”

Gillingham finished the season with a clean sheet and a win at Port Vale on Saturday.
Morris managed 13 shutouts in his 36 league games this season.
He had started the campaign as understudy to Jake Turner but earned himself a place back as the no.1 choice, taking his appearance tally for the Gills now to 105 games.
He’s kept 34 clean sheets for the club with 148 in total during his long career.
