Paramedics were alerted to a two-car crash on Dumbarton Road in the West End at its junction with Drysdale Road at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, April 29.

The Scottish Ambulance Service sent three ambulances, two special operations response teams, and a critical care paramedic to the scene.

After that, two people were taken to hospital for treatment.

During the incident, Dumbarton Road was shut between Kelso Street and Anniesland Road, Glasgow City Council said. 

Dyke Road was also closed between Dumbarton Road and Craggan Drive as well due to the crash.

Both roads reopened at around 2.30pm.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 1.26pm to attend a two-car road traffic collision at the junction of Dumbarton Road, Drysdale Street, Glasgow.

“Three ambulances, two special operations response teams (SORT) and one critical care paramedic were dispatched to the scene.

“Two patients were transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
