Police confirmed today (April 29) that the body of a man found in Littlehampton has been identified as that of Nathan Limbachia, who was missing for two weeks.
A spokesman for the force said: “We are sorry to confirm that the body of a man found in the sea at Littlehampton on Thursday (April 24) has been confirmed as 33-year-old Nathan Limbachia.
“Our thoughts are with Nathan’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
A GoFundMe has now been set up by Nathan’s brother, Aiman Limbachia, which has so far raised £2,534.
He said: “It’s with great sadness to say that my brother Nathan Limbachia sadly passed away on Wednesday 9th of April 2025.
“He touched the hearts of so many he crossed paths with in life, bringing joy and happiness with an infectious smile and sense of humour that was one of a kind and could not be mirrored.”
Police are treating Nathan’s death as unexplained but not suspicious.
Officers will continue enquiries on behalf of the coroner.
Nathan was reported missing on Friday April 11, having not been seen or heard from since the evening of Tuesday, April 8.
On that evening, he was last seen leaving a train at Littlehampton Railway Station and walking to nearby East Street.
The GoFundMe reads: “He was loved by so many in the community and his death is going to be a massive loss to the world we live in today.
“I’m trying to raise funds to give him an incredible funeral and the send off he deserves so we can all celebrate his life together.”
