Officers were on patrol in the Westwood Hill area of East Kilbride on Wednesday, April 23, when they had reason to stop the 18-year-old man.
After that, the youngster was searched and was allegedly in possession of a small quantity of cocaine, cannabis, and a baton.
He was arrested and taken to a police station, where he was later released. The teenager will appear in Hamilton Sheriff Court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were on patrol at Westwood Hill, East Kilbride on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, when they had reason to stop an 18-year-old male.
“The male was searched and found to be in possession of a small quantity of cannabis, cocaine and a baton.
“The male was arrested and taken to a police station, where he was later released.
“He will appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court at a later date for the alleged offences.”
