Police have discovered a body in the search for a missing woman.
Officers were called to Town Pier in Gravesend around midday today (April 24), where the body of a woman was discovered dead at the scene.
An appeal was launched earlier this month to find Carolyn Groom who went missing from her home in Earl Road, Northfleet, just before midnight on April 7.
Police say formal identification has not yet taken place, however the family of a 76-year-old woman from Northfleet has been informed.
Speaking to KentOnline at the time, her family said they were “worried sick” and were desperate to get her home
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner
