Warm weather could be making a return to Wales after an unsettled few weeks, according to the Met Office. Next week temperatures could reach highs of 20°C in parts of the country according to Met Office weather maps.

According to the maps mild weather will continue as far as data can show on Tuesday, April 29. The warmest weather is predicted on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29. Despite the likelihood of fine weather during the period, there will be some rain showers throughout the country. The Met Office has even warned of a small chance that poor weather will come instead of the predicted sunshine.

The long range UK weather forecast between April 26 and May 5 states: “Fairly changeable at first, with cloud and rain moving slowly east across the UK, probably easing and breaking into showers as it does so, with more settled conditions developing later in the weekend away from the far northwest.

“Into the following week, it will most probably be high pressure dominated, with large amounts of fine weather, and perhaps the odd heavy shower, especially in the south.

“Any more unsettled interludes liable to be brief and mainly affecting western or northwestern UK.

“However, there is a small chance of an alternative scenario coming off, with cloudier and wetter weather more extensive, especially across the south and west of the UK. Winds are most likely to be light, with temperatures probably at or slightly above normal.”

The two outcomes are also forecasted as possibilities between May 6 and May 20.
