A 56-year-old man found inside the property has been arrested on suspicion of murder
A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead inside a property. South Wales Police were called to a property on Bryn Terrace in Cefn Cribwr, near Bridgend, just after 9.15pm on Friday, April 18, after receiving reports concerning the welfare of two people.
When officers arrived at the property, they discovered a 48-year-old woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 56-year-old man from Pyle was also found inside the property and was detained by officers at the scene. He was later arrested on suspicion of murder. Stay informed on Bridgend news by signing up to our newsletter here
Detective Chief Inspector Lianne Rees, who is leading the investigation, confirmed that inquiries are ongoing. In a statement, she said: “We are continuing the carry out inquiries into the death, which is being treated as suspicious, however at this stage we are not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident.
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the woman who has died.”
