The Portuguese winger first joined Celtic on loan in 2021, then was signed permanently in 2022 for £6.5 million.
In July 2023, Jota made a high-profile move to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia for £25 million, joining players such as Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté. However, his stint there was brief.

By August 2024, he had transferred to French club Stade Rennais.
Less than five months later, he left Rennes and returned to Celtic in January 2025 on a five-and-a-half-year deal.

One of Jota’s go-to haunts is The Hidden Lane in the city’s West End, where he was spotted browsing through records.
He shared a photo with his 470,000 Instagram followers, digging through a box of vinyl.

Jota also made a visit to The Brazenhead, a beloved Celtic pub on Cathcart Road.
The pub posted the snaps with the caption: “On the Brazen wing”—a cheeky nod to his position on the pitch.

He has been seen dining at La Lanterna in the West End, a popular Italian spot on Great Western Road.
Joining him were teammates Matt O’Riley, Oh Hyeon-Gyu, and Benjamin Siegrist.
The restaurant captioned the post saying: “We were happy to have some of the Celtic football team join us for dinner recently.”
