The lifeguard, safety and facilities hub at West Wittering includes an elevated lifeguard lookout, new and improved public toilets, a dedicated medical suite for immediate first aid, accessible changing rooms and a central management space for the beach safety team.
The project was a collaborative effort, with Cover Storey Architects designing the building and King and Drury Construction constructing it.
A priority throughout the scheme was to create a functional structure that also respected and blended with the West Wittering coastline.
West Wittering is home to a number of A-listers including actress Kate Winslet, perhaps best known for her role as Rose in Titanic, and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
