Bella Vita, in Mosspark, has submitted a planning application to create the extra space at the back of the building.
The institution, which described itself as a “popular Italian restaurant”, is asking for permission to build a new access to their function room.

Documents read: “A large part of the weekly demand for the function room is funeral related and an independent access which provides cover for mourners and avoids mourners having to find their way through the restaurant is desirable.
“At all other times, the function room acts as an extension to the restaurant when demand is high.”
Glasgow City Council planning officials are discussing the bid and a decision is expected by Tuesday, June 24.
