Gers fans hosted a ‘Copland Stairs street party’ ahead of the club’s Europa League match against Athletic Bilbao, which kicks off at 8pm.
The gathering began at around 6.30pm and saw supporters descend on the stairs outside of the Copland Road stand, which was decorated with red, white, and blue bunting.
The Union Bears, a Rangers fan group, recently called on supporters to ‘bring the noise and colour’ for the quarter-final clash at Ibrox.
A statement posted to the group’s X [formerly Twitter account] read: “Copland Stairs street party V Bilbao on April 10.
“Bring the noise and colour!”
A banner displayed at Ibrox also read: “Copland Stairs street party 10/04.”
Ahead of the event, fans marched down Paisley Road West – followed by a heavy police presence – towards the stadium, where they were greeted by onlookers.

An earlier post from the Union Bears invited fans to gather at the 3 Cheers Pub from 3pm.
It stated: “Pre-match information for next Thursday. We also invited those with ID to 3 Cheers Pub from 3pm.”
Police Scotland issued a warning ahead of the event.
Cops said they were ‘aware’ of a ‘possible gathering of fans’ at the Copland Stairs.
Due to this, officers urged anyone heading to the ‘street party’ to be ‘respectful of the local community in the area’.
A ‘proportionate policing plan’ is to be undertaken for the game with police stating they will ‘work closely’ with their partners, including both clubs, to maintain public safety and minimise any disruption.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland previously said: “A proportionate policing plan is in place for the Rangers v Athletic Club match at Ibrox in Glasgow on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
“We will continue to work closely with a range of partners, including both clubs, to maintain public safety and minimise any disruption.
“We are aware of a possible gathering of fans ahead of the match at Copland Stairs and continue to liaise with the club.
“We would urge anyone gathering in the area to be respectful of the local community in the area around the stadium.”
Last month, the Union Bears organised a march from Cessnock Subway Station to Ibrox Stadium ahead of the Europa League tie against Fenerbahce.
The group gathered at the station at 6.30pm on March 13 before making their way to the stadium for the round of 16 second leg, which Rangers won on penalties.
Hundreds of supporters joined the procession behind a Glasgow Rangers-branded banner, with Union Bears flags, flares, and fireworks lighting up the route to the stadium.
