At a meeting held on January 23 this year, Dartford Borough Council members agreed that a bidder, then known as Bidder B, would be the new occupiers for ATIK.
The nightclub on Essex Road crashed into administration last year when it was announced that the popular nightclub would close.
Bidder B was later revealed to be Kevin Spencer, who told KentOnline: “It was a well-established club.
“The good thing about clubs like that is they are very unique as they are very rarely built like that now.
“It is a purpose-built nightclub in a prime location.
“We are thrilled to announce it is reopening.
“We are bringing nightlife back to Dartford.”
The club closed on February 1, 2024, when Rekom UK, which owns brands including ATIK and PRYZM, said the decision to close the club came after an “extremely difficult” year for the late-night sector.
The building will be getting a big makeover in the next few months, which could cost between £250,000 and £400,000.
On March 19, a second Facebook account under the name ATIK Dartford was launched.
In their intro section, Atik Dartford said: “Atik is back.
“We have new owners, and the club is undergoing refurbishment.
“Opening soon.”
Fatsoma, the event ticketing platform, has an Atik Dartford UK page for people to follow and join ahead of its opening date.
The club will reopen sometime this spring, but a specific date has not been announced yet.
