Emergency services flocked to Brighton seafront today, April 10, at around 5.30pm.
Coastguard rescue teams from Newhaven and Shoreham and lifeboats from Brighton and Shoreham were on scene.
Sussex Police officers were also present.

The search was stood down with nobody found to be in danger at around 6.30pm, HM Coastguard said.
Pictures show officers patrolling the seafront near Madeira Terrace.
An RNLI lifeboat was also pictured on the water.
Sussex Police has been approached for more information.
